Hello Everyone:)
Before I started this crazy journey some call college, I was trying to figure out a way to keep everyone posted on how I was doing. I though about sending emails, but well lets face it, that takes a lot of time and I am limited in that area. So given my new found love of reading blogs, I decided this was a quick and easy way to share whats going on in my life:)
The third week of classes starts tomorrow, and I can now say that I really do love it here. Most of you know this was not always the case, however. The first couple weeks were rather rocky. (I was here a week early for welcome week) I spent a week driving home every night and coming back in the morning for classes. I was sure that I wanted to leave IU and never look back. I see how CRAZY that idea was now. I'm am so very fortunate to have an amazing supporting family who made me stick with it. My mom stayed up with me every night and listened to me cry and tried to motivate me to go back the next morning. I put her through a ton of stress and I know she's my mother and she HAS to love me:) but that week I don't know how she did it. I just feel very blessed to have this amazing family and I know that there was a lot of praying going on that helped me through it.
Now that I'm up here, I do love it. My classes are really good and I really enjoy the health field. As for finding new friends, (Given the fact that my friends and I were/are so close I felt like I could never find anymore like that, so why try) I have met many people who I would now consider my friends...I may never be as close to them as I am to my girls but its in the works. My roommate is great and we get along really well:) there are also some girls on my floor and some from another dorm that we go out with...I have been to kick boxing, yoga, and core workouts and I have also went to Cru (campus Crusade for Christ) all with some of these new friends.
This summer, when I worked at Graber Post, I learned a lot from the Amish guys in the break room. But one of them (Gerald, an Amish preacher) said something that has stuck with me..he said that the world may not be ready for change, but we can't stop it, so we might as well get used to it (I'm not sure the exact wording)....... Life is going to change, I'm learning to just sit back and enjoy the ride..............Me and my roommate Hanna.......

Yay - I'm so glad you're blogging - its so hard to keep up w/ everyone so I'm glad to have your page to go to when I can't see/talk to you in person!
I'm soooo excited, Lauren - you are blogging!!!! I love your blog so far and you are just such a cutie:)!! I think about you often and pray for your safety at school - I'm so glad things are looking up for you:)!! Keep that chin up, girlie, love ya lots!!
I am glad you decided to stick it out! This is the Lauren we all know. We weren't sure where you went there for a week or two. Your mom sent me the link to your blog - since I wasn't on your original list of invites!!!!!!!!!!! What is up with that????????? I talked with Lauren Dunford this weekend and she said there is 1 guy to every 5 girls at Butler and only 1 in fifty of those are cute. I hope your luck is going better! Love ya.

I am glad my MOM is getting along better. I will be home waiting for lots of hugs and kisses from you. I will be glad to give back lots of sloppy licks and don"t worry what all I have eaten. The pasture has a lot of good things in it.

I freakin love you!!!! I'm so glad you are loving it up there, I knew you would once you got used to the flow of things. Face it we just wanted to stay together the rest of our lives and that wasn't gonna work out so well. God has made us amazing friends for a purpose and we will ALWAYS share that bond. You guys won't ever be replaced in my life, not even a chance lol I love you so much and I'm proud of you girl! CAN'T WAIT TO SEE YOU TONIGHT!!!! It's so fetch haha I can just hearin you tellin me that fetch will never come back lol
