Busy, Busy, Busy!

For only working part time right now I still find myself so busy!! Since my last post I feel like I have been going non stop, but I wouldn't have it any other way! So just to catch up here's a little recap:

I said yes!! (to the dress, that is!) A few weekend ago my mom, sister, grandma, aunt, Lynn (Zack's mom), and I went wedding dress shopping! I love that the ladies of my family are so close and that Lynn was able to join us! I was excited and nervous! I was afraid that I wouldn't have that "moment" or find one that I really liked! Well, I had the opposite problem...I loved almost all the ones I tried on! I found two that I loved but I just couldn't decide on just one! The next weekend we went shopping again, this time my mom, Jess, Aunt Lea, and Adara. We went into one store and the first dress I tried on I LOVED!!! IT combined the two previous dresses into one! We went to lunch so I could think about it, my mom knows that I can be a tad indecisive :). But I knew the dress was the one!! We went back and got it and I am so excited for Zack to see me in it!!

A couple days after Zack and I got engaged we had a July 4th party. We already had the party planned for the 4th but it turned into an engagement celebration as well! I am so blessed to have such an amazing group of friends! We are also lucky that all our fiances/husbands get along so well also!!

This past weekend a group of us went down to Louisville to participate in The Color Run! It is a 5k of pure fun :) It was very laid back-you could walk or run! Throughout the course there were spots where they would throw paint powder on you! It was so much fun and I am already looking forward to next year!!

I SAID YES!! (of course!) Zackery asked me to marry him on Monday and of course I said yes! There is absolutely no doubt in my mind that I have found the man that I will spend the rest of my life with! Our story is kind of a funny one! Zack went to Washington and we all knew of him, but didn't really know him personally. We all used to think he was SO cute! I had talked to him a few times (he was good friends with Mitch, one of my best guy friends). And then there was the wonderful "boo-ing" incidence. Senior year at a Washington basketball game we went over to the Washington side to do the "Hello Cheer". When we started the cheer section started boo-ing us. The crowd gave us a standing ovation, but that wasn't good enough for us! We only knew two boys in the cheer section and one of them just happened to be Mister Zack Bullock, so of course those were the two guys we told on! We told our coach and apparently Washington administrators found out. I later found out, after Zack and I had been dating, that he got in really big trouble and even had to write an apology letter! ha
Christmas break of my freshman year at IU, two of my friends were dating two of Zack's friends and they asked me to come hang out. Zack and I started hanging out more and more and I really started to like him. We talked for about 6 months and then things kinda fizzled. 6 months after that we were both at the same Halloween party and we started talking again. We started dating again "officially" in November and have pretty much been inseparable ever since.
Last Monday I had to work late and would not be home until around 8. Zack still insisted on coming over. I thought it was a bit odd, but it really isn't that unusual to come over after work no matter what time it is. He said that Matt had called him earlier that day and told him that there were some baby deer out behind the house and he wanted to go see them. We planned to go see them when I got home. Of course after like 2 months of no rain it decides to storm Monday night. Zack kept texting me telling me we were going to miss the deer and the storm was going to be here in so many minutes. I finally made it home (before the rain) and we jumped on the chuck wagon and heading to see the deer. We got back to this small pond and he shut off the chuck wagon. I thought it was weird but we had to be quiet so we wouldn't scare the deer!! He started walking really fast and as I was about to yell at him to wait for me I looked up and saw some rose petals, and it hit me. I was like "Oh my gosh!!" and started to tear up. He turned around, got down on one knee, and asked me to marry him!! He didn't even make it up to the "sign" he had made!! Of course I said yes!! It was so cute! He was so nervous! He told me that he had been so nervous and barely been able to eat! He even threw up! ha I was like did you really think I would say no!?!
I am so lucky to have found such an amazing man. He treats me like a princess and puts up with little fits! He has become my best friend and I can't imagine my life without him. He is so sweet and caring. He has never met a stranger. My family adores him and I love his family just like my own! Here are some pictures from a night I will never forget:

Catching Up

It has been about 3 years since I have posted and I have decided to start up again! I love reading Abbie's blog and the other day she had talked about looking back at her own old posts and seeing what was going on in life at that time. I got to reading my old posts and I love seeing where I was in life and where I am now!
So the last time I posted I was starting my sophomore year at IU. A LOT has changed since then!! When starting IU my plan was to graduate in Exercise Science and then go to Physical Therapy school right after I graduate for another 3 years of school. Well I guess God has other plans! I actually graduated a year early from IU and instead of moving home I decided to move to Indy with Zack (he attends IUPUI). Because I graduated early I had a year off to apply to PT school. In that time I had to find a job. I was so lucky to find a wonderful job working as an ABA therapist for children with autism. I applied and got wait-listed to ISU's PT program pending their accreditation. Because I was not sure if they would be accredited, I decided to start a Master's of Special Education program through Ball State. (Inspired by my job) Luckily I did this, because ISU did not get accredited. I would be lying if I said I wasn't devastated. BUT life does go on :)
Zack and I moved back to Daviess County after our lease was up. He has one more year of school left but next year he will live with his aunt to save money!! Fortunately, the company I worked for in Indy had clients in Bloomington so I am currently working in Bloomington. Unfortunately I am only with one client so driving to Bloomington a couple days a week is not a realistic career. I know that I want to work with children, just not 100% what I will be doing. I am finishing out my masters program, but I have been looking at other options as well! My heart is really in therapy so I plan on applying to Physical Therapy school and should know about that by the end of the year. If that does not work I plan on applying to Occupational School next Jan/Feb. Both are very competitive, so we will just see!
I have always been a bit of a planner when it comes to the future. My biggest struggle has been letting go of my plans and letting life happen. I am so blessed with an amazing family, boyfriend, and friends and really could not ask for a better life!
