Break can not get here fast enough!

I think the title about sums it up, I CAN NOT wait for break!!! This week is finals week so that means study study study! All I had to do today was turn in a paper, so the rest of the day is devoted to studying...not to say that I don't get distracted obviously because I have found time to write on here! haha

This weekend was great! Both of my classes were canceled on Friday so I came home Thursday night. Jessica and I watched Max all day Friday. It was so much fun! That night I went to the North Central game with the whole family! Then I went back to Jessica' s for the night to get ready for her party the next day. I really just had a very relaxing weekend-which was great right before finals!Today is Hanna's birthday so tonight we are going out to dinner :) This is rather short but I guess I better get back to studying!

It's been awhile!

Wow, so it seems like ages since I have written on here!! This is my last full week of my first semester!! It so weird to think about...only 6 and half more years!! haha It has actually gone by really fast! I'm sure I won't have that same optimistic attitude a year from now! But let's hope I do!! I can not wait for a break with NO homework! I am also really ready for next semesters classes. For those of you who know me really well know I get bored with things easily..and let's just say I am REALLY bored with these classes! haha Next semester I have more classes focused on my major and I am really excited! Like I said this is my last week of full classes, then its FINALS! I have already taken one final and I ended up with an A in the class :) It was first aid so it was pretty easy but still!
This past weekend was Farly Christmas! I told people here at school that I had Christmas thing this weekend and they were like "Already?!" haha It was fun, of course. I love family things!! We had a big dinner and then Santa came!! The kids loved him, well everyone but Max. But he was still a pretty big fan of his gift!

Oh and I almost forgot! I can now add "chef " to my list of abilities! haha Last week was Tallal and Keaton's (Some of the guys we hang out with) birthdays. So Hanna and I made them a cake! Everyone said it was really good, and I haven't heard of anyone becoming deathly ill so far!! Me and the Birthday Boys! Keaton and Tallal, who was not quite ready!!

Thanksgiving

This is going to be short and sweet :) (I Hope!!haha) I'm back at IU from Thanksgiving break and I don't really know if I am happy or sad about it! haha. Of course I miss my family already. And I enjoyed seeing all my friends, but there was a small part of me that was ready to come back. I had a wonderful Thaanksgiving starting last Saturday with the Beasley's. Then it was back to school for two days and then Break:) The Osmon side did not have thanksgiving dinner this year because it was all kind of hectic with my Uncle John being in hospital. But we did get to spend some time together. Tuesday my mom, Matt, Grandpa and I (along with one of my mom's cousin's and his sons) went to the nursing home for cake and ice cream for my grandma Ruth's birthday. Thursday Jessica made her first Thankgiving feast! G-ma and G-pa Osmon and Mom and Matt went up to Indy to be with Uncle John and the family. So Jess, Nic, G-pa and G-ma Beasley, and Dad had dinner at Jessica's. (It only took her three attempts to get the noodles right!! haha) Adara rode home with Mom and Matt so me, her, and Jess went to the movies that night and saw Four Christmases (very funny). We then went back to Grandpa's to get some rest for shopping the next day!! It was really a good break even though there was some stress. Ii loved seeing my family and friends. I can't wait to see them all again over Christmas break!! (2 more weeks, finals week, and I am done!) Her are some pictures from this week...

It is going to be a great week....

Monday. 5:45 a.m. I woke up to Hanna taliking to some guy at our door (apparently he had been beating on the door and of course I didn't wake up!) He said he was from the front desk and that Hanna needed to go to the parking lot (right next to our dorm where we park) because her car had been vandalized. We were both still a little bit out of but I told her I would go with her because 1 I was a bit weary of the situation and 2 I didn't think she should walk out there alone. So we get to the parking lot and there was about 3 or 4 cops there. I parked on the front row and hanna was on like the 5th. As we were walking to her car I saw a cop looking in mine with a flashlight so I went over there and told him it was my car. He asked me why I was out there and I told him that I was with my roomate because her car was damaged. So they got our names and info, but there was no real link to any of the cars besides ours because we were roomates. Several cars had windows busted out but it was just really random. My passenger side window was busted out and all of my stuff from my center thing and my glove compartment was taken out and spread all over the car. The only thing that was taken were two purses that I had in there but luckily they were empty. Hanna's driver's side window was busted out and one dollar was missing! Really, breaking a window for a dollar? Come on. The other cars did not have anything missing either. One guy had over $1,000 worth of stereo stuff in his car and none of it was missing! So I guess we kind of got lucky there. My wonderful parents took care of me though :) Dad found and called a glass company and I just got back from taking my car there to get it fixed..so i won't have to drive around with a trash bag on it :) haha So that was my morning! Hopefully it isn't a reflection of how my week is going to be!!
This weekend was just about as eventful! Friday night my sister and I were going to have a nice sisterly bonding night! We went and got movies and then went to mcDonalds for supper :) However the night turned out to be anything but relaxing! When we were watching the movie when all of a sudden Jessica's cat, that had been sitting on her lap just fine, attacked Tank, Jess's dog, and then turned on Jess! It was nuts! i was trying to get Tank and me into the bathroom and then finally Jess got in there too! She had scratches all over her and blood was running down her arm. Needless to say all of my first aid stuff I had learned went out the window! ha So I attemted to treat her for shock, I thought it was a good idea haha. We didn't have our phones so she climbed out the tiny bathroom window and ran to dads. Dad came home from the cabin (he was hunting the next morning) and mom and grandma came over with the vet supplies! It was sad but at the same time it is one of those stories that I get a little giggle out of everytime I think about it!!
And now I think I have babbled on for long enough and now I must go to class :( Love you all!!

Tennessee!!

This weekend was great!! Sarah and I took a road trip down to Johnson Bible College to see Brittany! Friday we planned on leaving at noon, however we did not officially take off until 1! We had to stop at Graber Post to get gas, so of course I had to go visit everyone!! It was so good to see everyone I worked with this summer. After getting some lemon drops from JD and a full tank of gas thanks to Doug we were on our way! It was about a 6 hour drive! Way too long if you ask me!! Grandpa and Grandma gave us the Garmin to use, thank goodness, I am pretty sure we would have ended up in Canada without it!! Britt kept calling us and asking us when we were going to be there. We told her it was going to be about 830 because we stopped at Texas Roadhouse and it was raining! (of course she believed us!! haha) We were supposed to meet her at their game and when we walked in at about 730 she freaked!! We completely surprised her! We watched the rest of the basketball game and then went to Applebee's for "Half Aps"(Half priced appetizers) with a few of her friends. All of her friends were so nice and it felt like we had known them all forever!! Saturday we slept in and then went to brunch. The college is pretty small (not quite like IU ha) and everyone knows everyone! After that we went to another one of their basketball games and then the three of us went to Gatlinburg to walk around. It was beautiful!! That night we decided to go to the river and Peter (one of Britt's many friends) played the guitar and we sang songs! It was so much fun and I almost forgot it was freezing!! Sunday we got up and went to church and then began the long haul home!

Sunday night was Max's birthday party and I made it back for a little bit of it. Then I went home to sleep in my own bed and drove back to school this morning! Tonight is Monday Night Football, I'm not sure who is playing, but I am sure it will be fun as usual!!

Its already Tuesday! Wow! Sometimes my weeks feel like they are going by so fast, which is ok with me most of the time!! This weekend was pretty uneventful! I guess I could start with last week though. It was a good week too :) I think I am finally into the swing of things here. I have found a couple of really good groups of friends and that helps so much. Wednesday night I went to my bible study and we painted pumpkins :) There is a couple of girls there that i have started to really connect with and I really like hanging out with them! So after bible study, Hanna and I went to derrick's dorm(derrick is a kid from Hanna's high school, and we have made friends with a lot of his friends too) Hanna and I had went to Target and got a bunch of candy. So being the little social butterfly that I am I decided to walk around to the different rooms and "reverse trick or treat" (just give them the candy) It is amazing how many people you will meet with free candy!! Danielle(the girl from my bible study) was over there too so we got to hang out with her as well. We also had a random dance party in one of the rooms which was so much fun and also entertaining! Thursday night Hanna, Derrick, and a couple of other guys went to watch a movie at the Union. They have movies there that are not out on dvd yet and they are free!! Then after that I met Danielle and a couple other friends and we went to a costume party/concert (we went for the concert!) It was an IU band that was really good!! We even got to meet them and talk to them for awhile! Friday I went home and we had a small get together because Brittany Clark was home from Tenn. Saturday was Anna's jewlery party and Jess and I went to Gate's Bridal shop. And Sunday was very relaxing as well.

I am coming home tomorrow to go to the viewing for brittany miller's dad who passed away Sunday. It breaks my heart to think about what she and her family is going through. Just continue to pray for them and the ones who were close to family as well..

Shack Party '08

Hello everyone!! It's been awhile so ill try not to ramble on and on :) This weekend was the annual Shack Party I told you all about! And it was so much fun as usual!! But before that it was Sectional time for ND on Friday game. For those of you that were there, I am pretty sure you will back me up on this one: Those who didn't go-you didn't miss much!! Our boys were up by like 50 some points at half time so some of the girls who were there decided to leave. Liz, Kelsey, Chelsea, Sarah, and I all left and went to Walmart...It turned out to be a random girls night that I feel was WAY over due. Saturday was Shack time!! It was a chilly day, but that didnt stop us! In the morning the guys bird hunted in the field in front of the Shack..They did this for what seemed like forever!! FINALLY we got to go on a ride. There were lots of 4-wheelers and rhinos. We went back on the trails,through the creek, and of course to the lookout..one of my favorite places in the world!! We came back and had some food and just relaxed and talked until our later night ride. It is so neat to see all of the tail lights ahead of you on the trails. (I really think there were about 20 different 4 wheelers or rhinos!!) This year I brought Liz along for the experience!! I think she had a good time :) Sunday I spent the day with mom and Matt. We went to Bobes and ate and Jessica and Nic showed up after they went and watched Fireproof (rave reviews from Jess!!) Then it was time to head back to school!! This week it was really hard for some reason, but it has gotten much better!! It is already Wednesday!! Yesturday Grandpa and Grandma Osmon came up to take me out to eat!! It was lots of fun :) (and a nice break from the food court food haha) Monday night the Colts played..if that is what you want to call it! ha So Hanna and I went to Derrick's dorm to watch the game with some guys over there. Well it is Tuesday, which is one more day closer to Friday, so all is good :) ha So far my week has been pretty boring. The basic classes on Monday and then my lab today. I think I am getting over the mono, I am just still really tired! So after this I will most likely be taking a nap! Then homework!! (Of course!) I thought about actually doing laundry too, I know, shocker!! So this weekend was pretty laid back as well. Friday I rode home with Deven because my car wouldn't start. (But don't worry first thing Monday morning when my dad brought me back it started right up! Go figure!) Then Friday night my mom and I had some bonding time! We went to eat (Mexican :]) like we do many Fridays. Then we watched a movie together! It was very relaxing and I am pretty sure we both dozed off a couple times! Then Saturday I woke up and could not move my neck! It was awful! So I took some pain killers and mom let me sleep the rest of the day, literally! I didn't wake up until almost 5 I think! Then I went to my dad's house for Jessica and Nic's "wedding party" party. I was a little worried when, at 645, it was just me and her playing ping pong by ourselves! But everything was ok and pretty soon there was quite a crowd! Sunday Liz and I went on a short 4-wheeler ride and then carved pumpkins! It was so nice out and we had a good time! This weekend is the annual Shack Party and I am SO excited! Friday can't get here fast enough! I think that is about it for now! Love you all!!

Mono+Freshman Year= :-(

That's right ladies and gents I have mono:( I told you before I was sick and we now know what it is! There is a health center right here on campus, convienently located right next to my dorm, that i went to to recieve this wonderful diagnosis!I had to go all by myself :( ha I guess I'll have to grow up and get used to that now! However my wonderful mother did come get me so I could sleep in my own bed Tuesday night and then my fabulous grandmother brought me back this morning before my first class at 10! (I am actually in a really good mood right now, if you could not tell haha) Tonight I took it pretty easy, just laid around after my classes were done at 4. Then at 8 I went to bible study :) Which I love by the way! Tonight we decorated cookies and read Psalm 139 and also Fallon, one of our group leaders, read Jeremiah 29:11 where God says that he knows the plans for us....This was such like a comfort for me. I was starting to stress about what I wanted to do as my undergrad until Physical Therapy school. It is either Athletic Training, which is my current major, or Exercise Science. Both are really closely related and all the classes transfer so I do not really have to make a final choice yet :) But now I should be getting some rest...Love you all!

Sick :( Yuck!

Well it is becoming obvious to me that I am going to have to update this more than just once a week!! Believe it or not I already forget what I did last week!! ha But I'll try to fill you in on the main details :) Monday was Monday Night Football at Derrick's ( one of Hanna's Friends) Dorm. We ordered pizza and watched the game, although I don't think I could tell you who won..or who played! Tuesday I didn't haave class!! Tuesdays and Thursdays I have labs and we took a test in there and I already did that (and got a 100% :) by the way) I think that was about it for Tuesday..I did some stuff around town, like went to the library and stuff but that was it! Wednesday was another busy day of classes! Then that night I went to a bible study in Wright (my dorm). It was a lot of fun and definately something I will be doing weekly. Thursday was another good class free day! Grandpa and Grandma Osmon came to visit and took me out to eat :) Then I went to Cru with the girls from my bible study :) Friday I came home ( what's new, right?) My mom and I went to Mi Pueblo, yummy :) Saturday I spent some of the day at my dad's and then went horseback riding with Liz at Alicia Swartzentruber's. It was so much fun and I missed it! Its been forever!! Then that night the Osmons got together and had a cook out! It was SO much fun. I love my family to death (both sides) and anytime we get together it is always fun!! Then Sunday was another pretty lazy day! But sadly, I have gotten sick:( So I am working on fighting that off but I would much rather have my mom here to take care of me :) ha Thats about it, Ill update soon!! Love you all!

Weekend Recap!

What a weekend!! It was pretty busy for me! Friday night I hung out with Liz and Kelsey. We planned on going to Mi Pueblo, but it was too busy for us to wait, so we went to Masons instead :) Sarah met up with us later and we all hung out! I always miss them so much! Saturday Sarah and I left bright and early (6 am) for Campbellsville in Kentucky to see Mitch. We rode with Jill and Gary and of course, Sarah and I slept the whole way down there!! The game (Mitch is on the football team) was super hot and they lost so that was kind of a bummer :( Then Jill and Gary took us out to eat and one of Mitch's friends, Dwight, went with us too. He was really fun and even though he has only known Jill and Gary for like aa month he already thought of them as his parents ha! Then Sunday we went to chuch there. It was a really good service and I really enjoyed the music. We got back Sunday afternoon so i got to spend some time at my dads with him and my sister and Nic. Then I went back to my mom's for a bit and visited with Grandma for a little bit too. Then it was back to IU! Tonight my roomate Hanna and I are going to watch Monday night football with one of her friends from high school, so hopefully that will be fun :)
Oh yes and I almost forgot!!! Thursday night Hanna, Derrick, and I went to the mall and Hanna and I got our ears pierced!! (the top) It was my first "rebelous" thing i had done yet! haha (Don't worry probably the only rebelous thing i'll be doing) I didn't tell mom hehe...Friday when she got home and we were talking she noticed! Homecoming Weekend

What a great weekend! Friday was homecoming and everyone was home!! It was so great seeing everyone and a little odd not cheering, I miss it a lot :( We had a campfire at Sarah's afterwards with a bunch of our classmates and a few others! It was so much fun! Saturday Liz and I went to the movies and saw House Bunny. Sunday I went with Liz and her boyfriend and some of his friends and played cornhole all day. It was a lot of fun and a pretty relaxing day. And now its Monday! ugh! ha Monday is one of my busy days. I had my first real test today in First Aid (my favorite class) It was pretty easy though. I still have hard days when I really miss home, but when I am home there is still a bit of me that misses it here at IU. I went and actually worked out for the first time today, like on my own. It was good, but I know I'll be sore tomorrow! ha Tomorrow Hanna and I are going to look at some more apartments. We looked at some that we absolutely love and are pretty well set on, but we figure we should keep our options open and explore some more! I'll keep you updated!! Love you all!

A Little Intro (well a rather long intro)

Hello Everyone:)
Before I started this crazy journey some call college, I was trying to figure out a way to keep everyone posted on how I was doing. I though about sending emails, but well lets face it, that takes a lot of time and I am limited in that area. So given my new found love of reading blogs, I decided this was a quick and easy way to share whats going on in my life:)
The third week of classes starts tomorrow, and I can now say that I really do love it here. Most of you know this was not always the case, however. The first couple weeks were rather rocky. (I was here a week early for welcome week) I spent a week driving home every night and coming back in the morning for classes. I was sure that I wanted to leave IU and never look back. I see how CRAZY that idea was now. I'm am so very fortunate to have an amazing supporting family who made me stick with it. My mom stayed up with me every night and listened to me cry and tried to motivate me to go back the next morning. I put her through a ton of stress and I know she's my mother and she HAS to love me:) but that week I don't know how she did it. I just feel very blessed to have this amazing family and I know that there was a lot of praying going on that helped me through it.
Now that I'm up here, I do love it. My classes are really good and I really enjoy the health field. As for finding new friends, (Given the fact that my friends and I were/are so close I felt like I could never find anymore like that, so why try) I have met many people who I would now consider my friends...I may never be as close to them as I am to my girls but its in the works. My roommate is great and we get along really well:) there are also some girls on my floor and some from another dorm that we go out with...I have been to kick boxing, yoga, and core workouts and I have also went to Cru (campus Crusade for Christ) all with some of these new friends.
This summer, when I worked at Graber Post, I learned a lot from the Amish guys in the break room. But one of them (Gerald, an Amish preacher) said something that has stuck with me..he said that the world may not be ready for change, but we can't stop it, so we might as well get used to it (I'm not sure the exact wording)....... Life is going to change, I'm learning to just sit back and enjoy the ride..............Me and my roommate Hanna.......
